Less than 1/2 mile wide and 1 mile long, Cherry Grove has a charm and ambiance unmatched anywhere in the world. As you wander the boardwalks of "The Grove" you’ll discover lush tunnels of entwined greenery and houses as whimsical as its residents.

In the center of it all is the friendly GroveHotel. With it’s convenient "downtown" location, the GroveHotel is only steps away from the best beaches, shops, dance clubs, bars, and restaurants that Fire Island has to offer.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can explore the mazes of the neighboring meat-rack on your way to the Pines, a mostly gay men's residential community. Or for a more serene setting, follow one of the trails in the beautiful Sunken Forest, a natural marshy sanctuary of the National Seashore and home to a rich variety of animal and plant life. You're also welcome to investigate the island's "straighter" communities, such as Davis Park, Ocean Bay Park, Ocean Beach or Fair Harbor.
